6. Specific goals for the course

  1. specific outcomes of instruction (e.g. The student will be able to explain the significance of current research about a particular topic.)
    1. CLO1 An ability to apply an analysis method for solving various indeterminate structural systems, including beams, trusses, frames, and bridges, using mathematical and computational methods.
    2. CLO2 Apply fundamental structural analysis methods, including static equilibrium, virtual work, and energy principles, to determine internal forces and deformations in structures.
    3. CLO3 Recognize and analyse the redundancy in structural systems, understanding their impact on safety and performance.
    4. CLO4 Develop mathematical models and idealizations of real-world structures, considering factors such as supports, loads, and material properties.
    5. CLO5 Utilize structural analysis software and tools to perform complex analyses and assess the behaviour of structural systems under different loading conditions.
