This course requires students to understand basic definitions and theory, isotropic point source, power and field patterns, directivity and gain, efficiency, polarization, input impedance and bandwidth, Friis transmission equation, radiation from current elements, ground effects, radiation properties of wire antenna, array antenna, Yagi Uda antenna and log-periodic antenna, aperture antenna, microstrip antenna, modern antenna for current applications, antenna characteristics measurement. - prerequisites or co-requisites
